Recipe meat pies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp. of butter
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic clove
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 1 handfull of champignons
  • 2 carotts
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 200 ml hot water
  • 10 g instant roast beef powder for sauce
  • ½ tsp. paprika powder medium hot
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp. Martha Laue’s Original Spice Ketchup by HELA
  • Salt & pepper
  • 275 g fresh flaky pastry
  • 300 g fresh quiche pastry
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Chives
  • Muffin pan (12 holes)

THAT'S HOW IT IS DONE

  1. Melt the butter in a pan, add fine chopped onion cubes and garlic cloves to it and roast them gently. Subsequently give the ground beef to it and sear it. Wash the champignons an quarter them. Also skin the carrots, grate them and add them to the ground beef. After frying, deglaze them with water and red wine. Now combine the mixture with the instant roast beef powder, tomato paste, spices and Martha Laue’s Original Spice Ketchup by HELA. Stir everything on medium heat for approx. 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C top-/bottom heat.
  3. Roll out the quiche and cut out Ø10 cm big circles. Do the sam with the flaky pastry but cut out Ø8 cm big circles. Paint the Muffin pan with oil an fill a quiche-circle in each hole. Press them tight and give 1 – 1 ½ tbsp. of ground beef in it. Followed by laying the flaky pastry circles on top. Now make 4 small cuts and paint them with whisked egg yolk and bake them in the oven for approx. 30 minutes. Important! After 15 minutes put tin foil on the pies, so that they don not get burned.
  4. In the end, serve them with Martha Laue’s Original Spice Ketchup by HELA while they are still warm.
