Breakfast Hot Dogs

Recipe Breakfast Hot Dogs

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 Danish hot dog sausages
  • 100 g bacon cubes
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 tablespoons of Martha Laue’s Original Spice Ketchup from HELA
  • 120 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
  • Salt & pepper

THAT'S HOW IT IS DONE

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C top/bottom heat and bake hot dog buns in it for 5 minutes.
  2. Fill a medium-sized pot with water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and warm sausages in hot water for 5 minutes.
  3. Fry bacon cubes in a pan without fat and drain on a piece of kitchen paper. Wash tomatoes, remove seeds and cut into small cubes. Fry eggs in a non-stick pan for about 6 minutes – depending on preference – to make a fried egg.
  4. Cut hot dog buns lengthwise but not through. Spread 2 tablespoons of Martha Laue’s Original Spice Ketchup from HELA on the insides of each hot dog. Now fill with grated cheese, diced tomatoes, bacon, the sausage as well as the fried egg. Season with salt and pepper and enjoy while still warm.
